Walking the Line is Van Soest’s first feature documentary. He began his work in documentary on the break-out film Deadline, and in his short career in New York City, has worked on documentary projects for NBC, PBS, Sundance Film Festival, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and Sundance Channel.
He received a Fulbright Fellowship in the Creative and Performing Arts to direct his second feature documentary, The Nyanza Project, exploring globalization and environmental destruction in Kenya. After a year in Africa, he recently returned to New York City where he is currently in post-production.

Walking the Line is Levine’s first feature documentary. The film, an official selection of over 25 film festivals, has received international acclaim and screened in ten countries. Levine studied at Ithaca College as a recipient of the prestigious Park Scholar Award and also completed a fellowship with Working Films.
Levine now resides in New York City where he is again collaborating with Van Soest on their second film, The Nyanza Project.
